AAA Academy For Children

AAA Academy for Children was founded by Larry Chenault, Jimmie Killen, and Charles Blachford and incorporated in the State of New Jersey on Feb. 4, 2005. It was granted 501c3 status on Nov. 10, 2005. The seed organization is currently volunteer-led by a group of 8 Trustees.

The vision of AAA Academy is to provide a continuum of services for children age 3-18 that help children help themselves by providing the tools needed to achieve. These services will guide children’s earliest learning through culturally sensitive child care, further enhance learning opportunities for elementary, middle, and high school students through standards-based tutoring services in language arts and mathematics, offer charter school options to low-income families, and provide access to martial arts training and its associated benefits at reduced rates. The vision of AAA Academy is further expanded to include service to the at-risk youth populations in both Morris and Essex County, including students from Dover, Morris, and Newark City school districts. The first step in delivering on this vision is to develop tutoring services based in Morris County, where AAA Academy for Children is based.
